Shirley Hall Farm - Bed and Breakfast near Ashbourne, Derbyshire

Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast in our historic farmhouse dating from the 16th century

Enjoy the peacefulness of our lovely old house set in a large lawned garden in our beef, sheep and arable farm, a few minutes walk from Shirley village and four miles from Ashbourne.

The core of the farmhouse dates from the 16th century, though it has a facade which is much later, from the 18th and 19th centuries. Internally there are several half-timbered walls, a Jacobean staircase, and a magnificent oak-panelled lounge dating from the 16th century.  The house is furnished in keeping with the period, but is centrally heated.

We have 1 double en-suite bedroom and 1 twin en-suite bedroom. All have drinks facilities. An excellent full English, continental or vegetarian breakfast is served.

Coarse fishing is available locally. Excellent meals are also available at the pub in the village, a short walk away.

Children 14 years and over. Sorry no pets.

Open: All year. Not Christmas or New Year
