Welcome to Shirley Hall Farm

Shirley Hall Farm, Ashbourne - Bed and Breakfast and Holiday Cottages at an historic Derbyshire farm

Surrounded by the natural beauty of the Derbyshire Dales and the quiet picturesque and historic village of Shirley, our farm offers the perfect hideaway where you can while-away your time in tranquil surroundings or journey to the markets of the local towns and enjoy their stalls.

Just around the corner you have the splendid National Trust Properties and numerous theme parks all waiting for you.

Or you can go fishing, horse riding and play golf. There is something for everyone, young and not so young. This is the magic and the beauty, that is Shirley Hall Farm.

Shirley was mentioned in the Domesday Book and there was almost certainly a farmstead then on the site of our farm, but the current farmhouse dates from the 16h century and still retains part of the moat which once enclosed it.

Enjoy the peacefulness of our lovely old house. Set in a large garden with sprawling lawn, on our beef, sheep and arable farm. The house retains much of the original interior timbering, with an oak-panelled sitting room and a Jacobean stairway. It is a few minutes walk from Shirley village and four miles from Ashbourne.
